I arrived in Amanoi resort in the afternoon when the sunlight stretched out widely on colourful carpet of hills in Nui Chua National Park and in the distance below the blue Vinh Hy Bay spreading to the horizon. I was amazed such wonderful natural picture. Fresh air and breezes made me feel very comfortable.

Sits nestled among the lush hills of Nui Chua National Park, Amanoi Resort, the first resort in Vietnam of Aman Group, is built in the true concept of the peaceful place as its name that Amanoi, named from combining the Sanskrit word for peace, ‘aman’, and the Vietnamese word ‘nơi’, meaning place.

Each of the buildings co-exist with the landscape and belong where they rest. The Central Pavilion houses the Restaurant, Bar, and Library with subtlety and graciousness, while providing guests with stunning views of the natural beauty surrounding them. While the exterior was inspired by a traditional Vietnamese communal hall, the interior was given a more intimate ambience to by combining the holistic mix of local culture with the functionality of modern amenities.

My room is a pavilion with great view overlooking Vinh Hy Bay where I enjoyed the most beautiful moments in the day at the rising sun with its first yellow light to the sea or when the night slowly falling down and the sea was lighted like a floating city with the light bulbs from hundred of fishing boats. The room is designed in a warm and elegant space and in harmony with nature providing a sense of peacefulness and fluid motion as the natural light works its way throughout.

I had a tour to visit around the resort by electric car. The resort offers luxurious pavilions, many with their own private pools, and five villas, all of which have their own private pool, live-in housekeeper and cook to prepare Vietnamese or Western meals, provide guests with extensive views of the mountains and the crystal clear waters of the ocean below. Each villa consists of four or five free-standing bedroom pavilions, as well as a spacious living and dining pavilion.

As the property rolls back away from the cliffs and toward Lotus Lake, the Pilates Studio, Gym, and Spa each occupy spaces seemingly carved out by nature. A walk through the Spa and down the stone stairs brings guests to the Yoga Pavilion, floating peacefully on the shimmering water of the lake.

The Beach Club, located on the white sandy beach of Vinh Hy Bay, is home to an assortment of water sports equipment including snorkeling gear, kayaks, and Hobie Cats, perfect for exploring the delicate stag-horn corals and myriad of tropical fish or the coves and rock formations jutting out from the magnificent cliffs.

I didn’t miss my interesting time to learn more about vegetations and flowers. Phong, a staff who is a local man showed me many kinds of strange flowers and trees that never saw before. I love to take many photos about chanh chanh tree with nice purple flowers, white flowers of lim tree, a kind of very precious timber, dui trees with big roots growing strongly on stones and even medicine trees with fragrant leaves.

I also had wonderful experience for dinner when sitting under the starry sky, looking the beauty of Vinh Hy Bay by night and enjoying tasty dishes created by talent executive chef Nicolas van Heemsbergen and his team.

When I was there, I love more my life and enjoy it every moment.
